AOB

  • Cllr Dixon had attended a recent Kelso Town Heritage stakeholders meeting and tabled a map showing a proposed change of taxi rank location from its present position next to Greggs to the other side of the street by Humes the decorators. The current location space would become part of a pedestrianised area. A decision was due in two days.
  •    Cllr Dixon felt that the new location would be more dangerous for people     using the taxis.
  • Cllr Grime noted that there was a lack of space for pedestrians in the centre of Kelso and that the move could be a positive development.
  • It was agreed that the community council would not take a position on the issue as there was a wide range of views but that individual councillors should respond if they wished
  • Two members of the public present were concerned at the level of disturbance at a SBHA property in Morebattle recently when Police were called. Chair advised them to contact SBC Cllr Nicol and also the SBHA complaint system.
