SBC Cllr Nicol reported that Anne Brown had been awarded a BEM in the recent Queen’s Birthday Honours List.

Cllr Halliday thanked SBC Cllr Mountford for progressing the handrail and step at Morebattle Parish Church

Member of public reported on poor maintenance of vegetation by SBHA at Heughhead. As a SBHA board member SBC Cllr Mountford would look into the issue.

As a condition of receiving grant funds from SBC the community council is required to accept the Code of Conduct annually and did so in the May AGM. The AGM minutes were circulated and proposed by Cllr McNulty and seconded by Cllr Halliday.

Cllr Halliday suggested that with the expansion of Morebattle housing along Mainsfield Avenue that the 30mph signs should be moved to Morebattle Mains to reflect the changes. SBC Cllr Nicol noted that Traffic Order would be required and that he would look into the issue.
