Matters Arising from Actions 21 January 2019 Walter Leitch Fund scheme update Chair has resent letters to the three High schools. One phone call from secretary at Jedburgh. May follow up Earlston and Kelso. |

Morebattle Toilets SBC Cllr Mountford reported that a report would go to SBC in late March on public toilets in the region. |

Road Maintenance SBC Cllr Mountford had asked SBC to take a look at Main Street. There would be more budget proposed for road maintenance in 2020/21. |

Xmas Carols Chair proposed that the Kirk or Guild could organised the carols whilst the community council arrange the Christmas tree. Chair would contact the Guild. |

Morebattle Rideout 21 June 2020 Cllrs Henderson and Thomas kindly volunteered to help with refreshments. SBC Cllr Mountford noted that he wouldn’t be available as master of ceremonies this year. |

Litter Cllr M Hall received a positive letter from Morebattle PS re. the issue.. |

Lamping/Lights SBC Cllr Robson had raised the issue at a recent Fire & Rescue Board meeting. Police confirmed that they were aware and that the Kelso/Jedburgh/Wooler area is vulnerable to rural theft by organised groups. Any incidents must be reported. |

Correspondence
Secretary reported on recent email exchange with the community council’s insurers re. the position of the local Resilience Group which indicated that the Group would not be covered if they weren’t part of the community council. Most Groups are not separately constituted and do not have bank accounts. Cllr Murray would attend a Group meeting in early March and raise the issue. |

Noticeboard Cllr Murray was liaising with Kelso Men’s Shed to have the board renovated. A donation would be required. |

Gateshaw Bell Cllr Hall noted that the bell was currently on her premises, having been at Gateschaw House previously. Its ownership needed to be checked. |

Secretary’s Stipend 2020/21 As the annual stipend had remained unchanged for over 15 years, Chair suggested raising it to £320 for the 2020/21 period. Agreed unanimously |
