The minutes of the previous meeting of 18 December having been circulated were then passed as a true record of events.

Matters Arising from 18 December Actions

Cllr McEwan has spoken with Gillian McFadzean re. coverage for Linton. Cllr Nicol will obtain the Electoral Roll to enable organisation of leaflet printing.

Cllr Grime asked for more details on the community council’s decision on the planning application.

Cllr Cessford asked for a copy of the ‘Legacy 2014’ fund application forms. Secretary to forward recent email with relevant links

Noted that funding was likely to be available for War Memorial cleaning for 2014.

Cllr Hall noted that the local Churches Together group was organising food parcels and that she was in touch with the Rev McHaffie on the matter.

Cllr Hall noted the dilapidated state of the roadside bench on the Pikings. Secretary to contact SBC Officer Ronnie Pattenden re. any remedial work that could be undertaken.

Cllr Pedersen noted that his renovation of the disused church had encountered problems with the power company over the re-siting of power cables close to the building’s roof.

He also noted that he was considering holding a weekly local food stall/market in the church yard. Some community councillors raised concerns about the potential impact on the village shop.

SBC Cllr Nicol gave an update on progress toward a new Kelso High School and the possible uses that the current building could be put to in the future
