St. Cuthbert's Coffee Stop proposal Cllr Pedersen explained his plans for a Community Interest Company to operate a café in the former church under renovation in Morebattle. Expected opening would be July 2014. |

Resilient Community Plan Cllr Pedersen reported 25 responses from Morebattle area and Cllr Aitchison reported 2 from Hownam. There were no responses from Linton. Cllr Pedersen to report details to SBC Officer Jim Fraser. |

Scottish Rural Development Programme (SRDP) 2014-2020 Stage 1 Consultation, deadline 30 June 2013 Agreed that to adequately respond to the consultation required extensive background knowledge of existing EU funding mechanisms. Chair to complain to Scot Govt department regarding the overly complex nature of the consultation. |

SBC Cllr Nicol noted that it shouldn’t be difficult to get a grant toward the £800 cost of a defibrillator for Morebattle, situated by the village shop. A coffee morning in February 2014 was suggested. |
