SBC Cllr Mountford reported no change yet to the arrangements to removing wreaths. They were uplifted in February to allow for grass-cutting in March/April. Possible that they may be left longer in the future. |

Vattenfall Whitton Farm planning application update Application still awaiting decision. The number of objections may result in a decision by SBC Planning Committee rather than by delegated powers. |

Planning Matters 13/00288/FUL Replacement Windows, Inchbrae, Mainsfield Avenue, Morebattle. SBC Cllr Mountford noted that the policy for conservation areas insists on use of traditional materials for window and door replacement even when originals are no longer present. 13/00222/AMC Erection of Dwellinghouse Plot 1 Morebattle Mains Farm Cottages, Morebattle. The meeting felt that there was a lack of consistency in the building styles and that SBC’s rules for high design standards should be applied. Agreed to comment but not to object. |

AOB Cllr Pedersen reported that Rev. McHaffie in Yetholm was trying to organise provision of two defibrillators and had asked whether Morebattle would be interested. Advice can be had from Scottish Ambulance Service and training is free. The unit is usually stored in someone’s house. SBC are offering 80% grant aid. Agreed to progress. |

Cllr Pedersen reported that Lees butchers (Kelso, Morebattle, Yetholm) had announced their immediate closure. Agreed to send a card. |

Cllr Halliday reported that a householder in Linton was experiencing problems with run-off from a blocked road drain. SBC Cllr Mountford noted that SBC Officer Ronnie Pattenden was arranging a solution and that a SBC Access Ranger was looking at the damage to the private track to Linton Kirk. |

SBC Cllr Mountford reported that potholes on the Whitton road would be repaired in April. |
