Minutes of Previous Meeting of 15^th November 2016

The minutes of the previous meeting of 15^th November having been circulated were passed as a true record of events bar amendment on item 6f should read Cllr Hall to ask Church Session not Institute committee.

Cheviot Area Forum – Report from Walter Leitch Trust

SBC Cllr Mountford and Chair had attended meeting SBC Cllr Mountford gave a report on this.  An approved letter has been sent to Trustees in Australia – terms to be changed to take in catchment area instead of Junior Secondary. Will let us know outcome when hear back from Trustees in Australia.

Morebattle Path Proposal

Cllr Hall sent all Community Councillors Draft Copy of e-mail regarding meeting at proposed path.

Discussion followed as best way forward i.e hard core to be put down and then tarmac in the future.  Cllr Hall, Landowner, SBC & SBC Access Team to meet up and take this forward.

Cllr Hall intimated that due to ill health owner of Morebattle Shop was holding an open meeting on Tuesday 31^st January in Morebattle Village Hall at 7pm with a view to a proposal for a Community run shop – nominations for a Steering Committee are being sought from the public.

SBC Cllr Mountford noted road & bridge works completed Caverton Mill/Cessford road end.  Over Whitton & Upper Chatto – Short Overlay Schemes.

Cllr Bell noted dead-end sign now fitted at road-end to Heughhead/Old School Gardens.
