Walter Leitch Fund update Chair noted that the Fund’s Australian lawyers have received the documents and will reply in due course. They have the option of separating the classroom bid from the student support. Further progress with locating families whose children are eligible for support. Good range of study subjects. Walter Leitch Fund includes Borders College modern apprentices who meet the other conditions. If the Australian trustees are unhappy with the level of disbursement it was suggested that a single scholarship could be offered for each of the high schools in Jedburgh, Kelso and Earlston. Chair to contact Southern Reporter in due course. Everyone thanked Cllr Bell for her hard work and commitment to the project. |

Remembrance Day Sunday 11 November Both Chair and Cllr Murray have been in touch with Cllr Hall re. wreaths and a piper. A military veteran will assist Douglas Hall to the war memorial. Two school pupils who have visited the WW1 battlefields will attend. |

Morebattle Christmas lights Sunday 2 December Electrician required to check lights and to help install. Chair to contact former community councillor re. provision of tree and mince pies Cllr Murray suggested broadening the choice of songs to include non-religious songs. A risk assessment for maintenance and installation of lights required as the community council is responsible. |

Waste Bins Chair reported that she had received two complaints re. a Morebattle resident without SBC waste bins. Cllr Murray to contact individual concerned. |
